Low Pone Queer Dance Party

Monthly – Ongoing – 2018

Event Profile

Low Pone is a monthly event that that embraces the queer community in Indianapolis. The everchanging lineup combines multiple formats including drag show, variety show and dance party into one big event. Upon multiple closures of gay establishments, and years of segregation between men, women, and those in between, HI-FI offers a haven for the LGBTQ+ community to meet up and express themselves once a month. Low Pone gives everyone a place to be weirdos and be proud of it, together.

Low Pone also provides a platform for new DJs, artists and drag performers to be seen and heard. This event is undeniably different than anything else happening in our city. The monthly gathering shapes up to feel like a secret underground party, while hosted in Indy’s most popular music venue. Low Pone provides unity and inclusion; giving people the chance to dance their ASS off with the people they love. Low Pone is a catalyst to reunite and re-engage our queer community, and keep it that way.
