MOKB Presents

Battle of the Bands

Coming in 2018!

Event Profile

For 7 years, The Benchmark Battle of the Bands packed The Patio in Broad Ripple every Wednesday night. Aside from the competition, the event united the local music community and created a weekly “stomping” grounds that spawned collaboration, side projects and new friends. The mismatch of genres, courtesy of the blind draw, gave spectators a diverse lineup of music allowing a full showcase of the best local music talent. Now, its original organizers have resurrected one of the most influential local music events in Indianapolis of the last 20 years.

Over 75 bands will perform head-to-head with judges and the audience vote to determine who will advance to the finals. Keeping with tradition, the grand prize winner will walk away with $10,000 cash and a “new” touring van – a game changer for young bands making a name for themselves.

Event dates and band submission details will be announced in the coming weeks.
